simple .. and effective .. i guess simplicity is the best way to express ... much more than complicated stuff ...

Hmm, perhaps this is simply rather cool and detached. I'm not certain that "express" is the correct word here. I might prefer to transport you to the place rather than express anything about it. Again, my aims are more formal ... what I have to share is primarily visual.

You sound a little wistful, Sara. Perhaps this sort of art offers a little relief from expectations. I accept that different people might find it funny or a bit sad or emotionally flat ... I think that the image is simply concerned with visual form, but it gets complicated when people feel something in response. I can't really account for that ... it seems beyond my intent.

:)

you're right, express is not the correct word (uh uh my english is somehow basic, i realize i always use the same words)
Visual: yes, it is ..
Wistful: yes, i am ... sometimes.
I feel the same, i don't intend to out emotions or feelings with my images, it's just visual ..

Sara, your English is very good!

The word "express" implies that something is communicated and I am fairly ambivalent about that. But it is a complicated matter.

Yes, I think that your art is primarily a visual experience, but there are issues of time and memory, as well. Perhaps there is simply a dense accumulation of visual experience in your work, but it can approach narrative ... or something like it. One senses duration, time passing, in your images. It's not difficult to imagine you as a patient observer.

yes, about my 'digital collages', the word accumulation fits perfectly ...
maybe it's sometimes nearly narrative because i use photographs of people, places, things generally took at the same place or during a definite time ..

Yes, and some of your more recent photographs are much simpler, but they still have a distinct sense of time ... meditative, uncluttered and peaceful. It would not surprise me if you lingered in those spaces, as well. They have that sense of calm persistence and acceptance.

But then there are those high speed blurs that you do from time to time. Those collapse down into an instant. Time becomes a thin fragment in those images.

Have your ever done film or video, Sara?
:iconbelladone:
I don't think too much with my photographs, actually ... sometimes i'm more in a period of 'simplicity', i mean: i don't manipulate them (or just 'squaring' them )and for some others, i love doing my 'multiple layers stuff': just adding places and people and colors .. and making a big mess .. But i nearly never have an idea of where it will lead me..
No,I never did films ... just few animation,(:iconblisterine66: inspired by him) but it's a long work ... and i throwed everything away ..... i guess
Sure I would be interested in doing some films ....pfff but i'm always interested by so many things! And I miss time!
