You sound a little wistful, Sara. Perhaps this sort of art offers a little relief from expectations. I accept that different people might find it funny or a bit sad or emotionally flat ... I think that the image is simply concerned with visual form, but it gets complicated when people feel something in response. I can't really account for that ... it seems beyond my intent.
Visual: yes, it is ..
Wistful: yes, i am ... sometimes.
I feel the same, i don't intend to out emotions or feelings with my images, it's just visual ..

The word "express" implies that something is communicated and I am fairly ambivalent about that. But it is a complicated matter.
Yes, I think that your art is primarily a visual experience, but there are issues of time and memory, as well. Perhaps there is simply a dense accumulation of visual experience in your work, but it can approach narrative ... or something like it. One senses duration, time passing, in your images. It's not difficult to imagine you as a patient observer.
maybe it's sometimes nearly narrative because i use photographs of people, places, things generally took at the same place or during a definite time ..

But then there are those high speed blurs that you do from time to time. Those collapse down into an instant. Time becomes a thin fragment in those images.
Have your ever done film or video, Sara?

Sure I would be interested in doing some films ....pfff but i'm always interested by so many things! And I miss time!
